Can I come view your artwork?

Of course! I have my own beautiful studio and gallery ‘Artist & Maker’ in Northgate. It is located at 49 Toombul Rd, Northgate and is open via appointment. Please contact me via email to organise a time to visit.

Do you paint commissions?

I would love to create the perfect artwork for your home. Not only can I discuss your colour preferences and inspiration, we also custom make our own canvases and framing. This means we are able to offer the exact the size to suit your space. Please email to begin the discussion.

Can you host Private workshops?

Definitely! If you have an important event approaching, or just keen to get some friends together, a Private Workshop would be ideal. I offer various packages for groups of 6 or more, and can host at my studio or mobile. Please email me for information

Hi! I'm Teagan, a Brisbane-based artist, teacher, and business owner. Driven by my belief in living life to its fullest potential, I have pursued my dream of creating art for a living while sharing my passion with others. In May 2021, I opened the doors to ‘Artist & Maker,’ located at 49 Toombul Rd, Northgate, Brisbane. (I actually discovered I was pregnant with my youngest only a week or so after signing the lease, haha!) This beautiful space includes a gallery and workshop/event area downstairs, and my dedicated painting studio upstairs. I welcome visitors via appointment, so please don't hesitate to get in touch. For Me, creating is not just a passion—it’s a necessity. Over the years, I have embraced mixed media and a more liberated, intuitive approach to my work. My creative process is deeply personal and guided by my inner voice, allowing each brushstroke, splash, and mark to flow naturally. Every colour chosen reflects my thoughts and emotions at the moment of creation, resulting in paintings that resonate with energy and evoke a powerful emotional response from the viewer. Give me a canvas and I no longer fear the white space. I love the freedom of fluid mediums, the energy that comes with letting loose and intuitively painting what I feel right then and there. Since becoming a mum (now of two), I no longer have time to procrastinate, and that has allowed my work to become more honest, free and explosive. I love to create large scale pieces that invite you to come closer, look for the details, the texture, interactions between different media. The marks are made with all the tools I can find - my hands, finger tips, palette knives, brushes, cups, pippettes, whatever I can find! Dripping, splashing, tipping paint and mixed media - it's all so delicious! I take inspiration from all around me- but most often from what I'm feeling at the time. As an experienced Science and Art teacher, I am fascinated by the chemistry of art materials and the way different paints and acrylic mediums respond to each other. You will find gorgeous details in my paintings where the fluid media merge, plays on light and dark, soft and hard edges, transparent and opaque.. Beautiful pieces that will evoke happiness in your home and bring sophistication to your space.
